Shivaji Sengupta Shivaji Sengupta is a professor of English, and a vice president for academic policy in a small liberal arts college in New York. "As far back as I can remember, I have always lived in a bit of an erotic haze, still do. It never leaves me. Even when I am doing something completely nonsexual I have felt myself mildly aroused. I love thinking about sex and talking about it. I feel a very deep and private afterglow of pleasure immediately after a fantasy. These fantasies are about people I've met at work or socially, or teaching at my college. Writing seems a perfect foil to explore human needs and desires, and machinations of power. That is how I began to get interested in the literary possibilities of erotica. I specialize in writing erotica about India and Indians both in their country and in the US. To date I have posted my stories on various web sites such as Erotica Readers Association, Maryanne Mohunraj's Erotica Writers' Web Page, Jane's Magazine. One of my Indian BDSM stories has been accepted for publication in an anthology called "Ravish Me," edited by Adrienne Benedicks. I am also a puiblisher of erotica and am publishing an anthology of erotic short stories called "Desires" in September of 1999."
