I tried to draw the stars,
But I couldn°t,
Thinking of you.

I wound up dreaming while awake,
But that°s nothing new,
Thinking of you.

So while thinking of you,
I°ve managed to fall in love,
Over and above,
The wastrel songs of empty poets.

And while thinking of you,
I°ve re-noticed the stars,
For their beauty
While I dream of you underneath them.

And so,
Even if the times drag on,
Tomorrow is not that far,
For today,
My dreams won°t give me away,
Sounding my heart today,
And reminding it
That dreams are needed too.
When I think of you.
