Dan Mathis works for the famous artist Lance Stunning and is currently touring a Victorian era mansion as this very enjoyable erotic novel begins. Agent Janine Fox who is extremely attractive is with him and Dan is having a very hard time keeping his mind on business. Dan while attracted to Janine feels a sort of presence in the house, which he attributes to the fact that its outside appearance is of a classic haunted house. Lance Stunning soon buys the twenty-six room mansion on twelve acres and Dan convinces Lance to let him oversee the renovations. The work will be extensive which will mean he will be onsite and away from Lance for months. Dan wants time away from Lance and his demands, as while he appreciates the availability of the many beautiful women around Lance, he is sick and tired of all the hassles being his executive assistant. Dan gets the job and soon slowly adjusts to his new routine and the solitude of the house at the end of the day. As time passes, he begins to notice odd little things that signal his first suspicions were correct. There is some sort of presence in the house and things slowly escalate until he has an intense erotic encounter one night. An encounter that he isn't sure he didn't just dream but felt so physically really that it must have happened. But not the way he thought and one that opened a doorway into another dimension. This is a very enjoyable novel. At 340 pages it was rather long for me, as I don't have an e-book reader. However, that is a minor quibble and if you have an e-book reader, totally irrelevant. It is well written with plenty of rich detail that brings the characters to life. The sexual situations grow logically from the story and characters are not contrived or forced onto the reader. In short, this is a very good read and well worth your consideration.
